Jackson Pierce joined Caliber Security Partners in 2014 as an accountant and worked his way up to his current position as President. Jackson’s main goals at Caliber are to facilitate sustainable growth and provide optimal value to Caliber’s clients, vendors, employees, and shareholders. Jackson has held the core belief that through excellent service and by having the desire to help others be the best they can be, he will be at his best. Jackson was taught to lead by example and is thrilled to continue promoting the Caliber culture of hard work, honesty, and dependability. Jackson is a graduate from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington with a Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. Jackson enjoys spending his time off with his wife and kids exploring, playing and doing whatever it takes to get everyone laughing.
Founder and CEO
Tab Pierce founded Caliber Security Partners in 2010, with the belief that security needed to change from just a technical deliverable to include an executive view and management of risk. Tab holds over 20 years of information security knowledge and is highly connected to industry experts throughout the United States. If you need to find someone in security, chances are Tab knows them or can at least quickly get an introduction. As the former founder of The Zyon Group and co-founder of Mindpoint.net, Tab has held executive positions within information security services providers, as well as IT companies. Work and security are his primary passions; however, if he’s taken a brief moment out of the office, he is likely enjoying one of the many breathtaking, Washington state lakes, rivers, or the Puget Sound, because he’s an avid fisherman.
Practice Director and CISO
Jon Espenschied brings over 20 years of security experience to Caliber Security Partners, from consulting leading security firms such as @Stake, Symantec, and CTG, to holding key roles at Microsoft, AT&T, United Nations, Click Security, Alert Logic, and other similar organizations. At Caliber, Jon manages consulting practices which includes: “Information Governance and Compliance”, “Security Policy and Program Implementation”, “Enterprise Risk Management”, “Threat Modeling”, “Social Engineering”, “Incident Analysis”, and “Privacy Compliance”. Jon has proudly earned industry, professional certifications including CISM, CISA, CISSP, CIPP/G, CGEIT, CRISC, CIPM, NSA-IAM and UN-BSIF/ASIF. Jon feels rewarded when he is successful in resolving his clients’ challenges. When he finds free time, he enjoys a range of hands-on diversions that involve no software such as, writing, travel, artistic blacksmithing, resuscitating dysfunctional motorcycles, and spoiling other people’s recipes with heaping tablespoons of irreverence. Jon resides in the Pacific Northwest with no dog. Yet.
Director, Technical Services
Rex, supports Caliber Security Partners as Director of Technical Services overseeing all aspects of penetration testing, security architecture assessments, vulnerability detection and management systems. As a senior level engineer, Rex brings over 25+ years’ experience in security consulting and expertise having supported organizations as Coalfire Systems, Cisco, Neohapsis and Leviathan Security Group. Rex earned his degree in Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Washington State University. In his spare time, Rex enjoys hiking, biking, motorcycling, and being on the water.
Practice Lead, Technical Security Services
Jonathan Landis, supports Caliber Security Partners as a Practice Lead over the Technical Security Service area. Jonathan has accumulated over 10 years of experience in the computer security industry as a technical network consultant as well as a member of the security team at a major regional bank. At Caliber, Jonathan built the company’s portfolio suite of web-based applications, developed processes for “Binary Patching Mobile Applications” for testing purposes, and helps lead Caliber’s mobile and web application security team. Jonathan earned his Master’s degree in Mathematics. In his spare time, Jonathan enjoys playing video games with his son.
